The Blog
"The ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do." -Steve Jobs Today I had the privilege of listening to young Kylan speak about being a difference maker during the Summer STEM Institute. As a small boy, he had a pen pal in Africa and he started to send him money to buy livestock in his village by operating a scrap metal business. This inspiring young man has gone on to create a movement to make a difference in the world and to inspire others to do the same. Check out his story: This impressive young man inspired an entire room of grown adults to think about how we make a difference and how we can help students make a difference. Are you interested in learning more? Visit his website at http://www.iamthedifferencemaker.org
After listening to Kylan speak, I am reflecting on how I can make bigger impact in this world. Is it as a mom? a teacher? a global citizen? I am not yet sure, but I am working on an idea I can make come alive in the same way Kylan has made his come to fruition! Will you join Kylan? Can you make a difference for someone else today?
